Neil Rue - Board Chair

Neil Rue is the chairperson of EQUIP’s board, having served since 2023. He has been an EQUIP board member since 2022.

In 2021, Neil retired from a 35-year career as an institutional investment consultant to several of the largest public agency pension funds in the United States. As a senior team leader at two major institutional consulting firms, Neil provided strategic advice to the boards of directors of these agencies on how best to invest their pension funds’ assets.

Over the last several decades, Neil has also volunteered for several Christian nonprofits and churches. Experience includes several years as a Young Life leader, leading bible study groups, serving on various church worship teams, volunteering with an inner-city ministry, and serving on the board and as board chair of NOE International (a Christian-based education community center organization located in Mexico).

Neil lives in Portland, Oregon, with his wife Karen and two sons, Daniel and Jonathan. The Rue’s attend Cedar Mill Bible Church in Beaverton.
