Rob DeKlotz

Executive Director

Rob DeKlotz serves as the Executive Director of EQUIP, where he provides executive leadership, oversees strategic planning, strengthens operational effectiveness, and helps develop key partnerships. With more than 40 years of executive and ministry leadership experience, Rob brings deep wisdom from serving churches, ministries, and organizations through seasons of growth and change. He is also the founder of Kingdom Initiatives, a consulting and coaching practice devoted to helping organizations thrive in their unique kingdom calling.

Branden Hubbell

Associate Executive Director

Branden Hubbell serves as the Associate Executive Director of EQUIP, where he provides executive leadership, helps develop resources, and strengthens ministry partnerships, with a special focus on Latin America. Since joining the ministry in 2015, Branden has grown into increasing leadership responsibility, bringing a background in coaching, leadership development, and discipleship to his work. He is a graduate of Faith International University, an ordained Foursquare minister, and also serves on the pastoral team at New Life Church in University Place, Washington.

John Lewis

President and Founder

John Lewis is the founder and president of EQUIP, a ministry dedicated to helping Christian leaders build discipleship cultures around the world. With more than 30 years of ministry experience, John launched Kingdom Story Ministries in 2012 out of the vision of helping people experience, live, and share God’s Story. In 2024, the ministry was renamed EQUIP as its mission expanded globally. Today, John focuses on financial development, resource development, and international partnerships, especially in the Balkans, Europe, and China.

Beth Cox

Administrative Associate

Beth Cox serves as the Administrative Associate at EQUIP, where she supports donor care, communications, social media, and key operational needs. She brings experience from education, government, and nonprofit service, offering a thoughtful and versatile approach to ministry support. Beth holds a degree in Political Science from Belhaven University and is passionate about serving both organizations and families in meaningful ways.

Neil Rue

Board Chair

Neil Rue serves as chairperson of EQUIP’s board, bringing decades of leadership, financial expertise, and nonprofit service to the organization. After a 35-year career as an institutional investment consultant advising major public pension boards, Neil now continues to invest his experience in Christian ministry and governance. Alongside his professional background, he has faithfully served churches and nonprofits in a variety of leadership roles over the years.

Erik Johnson

Board Member

Erik Johnson has served on the EQUIP board since 2023, bringing more than three decades of leadership in finance, operations, and organizational strategy. With extensive experience as a CFO in both global companies and Christian nonprofit work, Erik offers valuable insight in financial stewardship and operational excellence. He currently serves as Chief Financial Officer at World Vision, Inc. and has long been committed to supporting the church and Christian ministries through faithful volunteer leadership.

Kimberly Johnson

Board Member

Kimberly Johnson has co-served on the EQUIP board since 2023, bringing strong leadership experience in marketing, sales, and community engagement. As Chief of Marketing for Vacation Alchemy, she offers strategic insight shaped by both business leadership and years of service in school and nonprofit communities. Kimberly is passionate about healthy discipleship and actively serves at Saddleback Church in women’s ministry, prayer ministry, and student ministry.

John Erickson

Board Member

John Erickson has served on EQUIP’s board since 2023, bringing professional expertise in risk evaluation, strategic analysis, and organizational oversight, along with years of pastoral leadership. In addition to his work as a Senior Technical Specialist in the insurance industry, John serves as lead pastor of New Life Foursquare Church in University Place, Washington. His experience in ministry, leadership development, and faith-based outreach brings valuable wisdom to EQUIP’s board.

Kate Hull

Board Member

Kate Hull joined the EQUIP board in 2024 and has been a valued partner in EQUIP’s ministry for several years. With decades of experience serving her church, leading in homeschool and nonprofit settings, and investing deeply in Bible teaching and discipleship, Kate brings wisdom, faithfulness, and a strong heart for spiritual formation to the board. She currently serves as a Teaching Leader with Bible Study Fellowship and is an active member of City Central Church in Tacoma, Washington.
